Competences

The competences of the Sectoral Committee of the National Register were laid down by article 16 of the Act of 8 August 1983 on the National Register of natural persons.

The Sectoral Committee of the National Register possesses the following competences:

  • grant access to information from the National Register;
  • authorize access of the national register number;
  • supervise the application and observation of the acts on:
    • the National Register;
    • the population registers;
    • the identity cards;
  • deal with complaints;
  • help resolve disputes;
  • conduct certain investigations.
