We now realize that our personal data are daily processed in all possible areas of society: ranging from the registration of the birth of your child to registration for employment or membership of a sports club.

The Commission and the Sectoral Committees make sure that your personal data are not processed, used or disclosed in violation of your privacy.

Depending on the specific area in society where your data are processed, the Commission or the Sectoral Committees will:

  • issue an opinion on the text of certain laws;
  • make a recommendation about certain data processing operations;
  • grant authorization (permission) to process certain personal data.
